Running a business start-up and looking for somewhere to base yourself?

For people looking for hot-desking in Wigan, finding the right co-working space with everything you need to work productively is crucial.

Leigh Works was set up to provide the perfect solution. We are the first co-working space to open in the Wigan Borough.

Within easy reach of Wigan and Manchester, the building Elizabeth House on Bond Street was chosen thanks to its central location in Leigh and great transport links. The guided busway means Manchester city centre is just a 45-minute bus ride away, while Wigan town centre is a 30-minute drive. From Leigh, the guided bus service runs along the East Lancashire Road, through Salford to Manchester city centre. The bus stops at both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, which makes things easier for those commuting to live or study in the city.

Get the city living vibe for less

The city lifestyle is brought to Leigh, with new housing developments, peaceful green spaces, and artisan businesses making the area a great choice for first-time-buyers. We love the great food and drink businesses in Leigh and have partners who offer discounts - Twentyman's artisanal bakery and pizzeria with a wood-fired pizza oven is a particular favourite. Our members can also often be found tucking into the amazing dishes at All Hail The Burger. After work, many Leythers enjoy cocktails and live music at The Lock. And if you're looking for something special to take home, local produce is sold at The Farm Shop, while M&S Food and Sainsbury's are also based in Leigh town centre.

Hotdesking in Wigan

Our members don't just work here for the location and the neighbourhood - they work here because we offer the support and resources they need to succeed. From hotdesking to using the electronics lab, developing photos in the dark room to cutting plastics in the workshop, our members use the time and space productively to achieve results.

Expert help is on hand for business start-ups

The people who work at our co-working space are pretty knowledgeable too. We have: IT experts at Express IT Group; software, mobile, and web developers Nemiah and computer hardware manufacturer Lazer 3D to name a few. The people who run and work for these businesses are approachable and can help with advice on anything from finance to training.
